About Us
Welcome to Honeysuckle Wood Trading Limited, a company named after our 16 acres of Woodland near Raglan in Monmouthshire. We purchased the Griffin in 2020, Built as a hotel in the 17c the Griffin has been a thriving public house at the centre of Monmouth for over 200 years.
When we acquired the building it had been empty for 5 years and fallen into disrepair with a badly leaking roof and catalogue of problems which had either been boxed in or plastered over, including a collapsed sewer pipe.
Moving in 1 week before the first lockdown threw a few spanners in the works but we are gradually working our way through restoring the building and growing our business.
We offer a unique experience, visit us for bicycle repair run by Nick, or call in to bring us your laundry or purchase one of our beautiful brushes curated by Tanya. You can also visit Bridget, probably the best known Lurcher in town. Need a venue for a family gathering then we have a licensed bar and restaurant set in our retail space which can be booked. There is nothing quite like us. Truly unique to Monmouth.
