About Us
Welcome to Honeysuckle Wood Trading Limited, a company named after our 16 acres of Woodland near Raglan in Monmouthshire. We purchased the Griffin in 2020, Built as a hotel in the 17c the Griffin has been a thriving public house at the centre of Monmouth for over 200 years.
When we acquired the building it had been empty for 5 years and fallen into disrepair with a badly leaking roof and catalogue of problems which had either been boxed in or plastered over, including a collapsed sewer pipe.
Moving in 1 week before the first lockdown threw a few spanners in the works but we are gradually working our way through restoring the building and growing our business.
We offer a unique brunch and lunch experience with a difference. Try our Burger stack, it’s a taste sensation! Meet Bridget the Lurcher. We have a licensed micro bar and restaurant set in our retail space which also offers bike repair and brushes, as well as other local items made specifically in Wales. There is nothing quite like us. Truly unique to Monmouth. Evening meals available if you book ahead.
