Brunch

We are passionate about local food and things which not only taste good but do you good as well. Tanya ensures every dish is crammed with colour and good produce.

Butcher sourced meats, farm shop vegetables and salads alongside locally sourced fermented Kimchi and fermented foods from The Crafty Pickle company and Wilce’s Cider Vinegar with “the mother” to our make vinaigrette. Eating at the Griffin is as close to home cooked as it is possible to get.

Reviews that set the tone for our experience

Jan 2025

“Character, quirk and good food are to be had here in the friendly Griffin which combines a bar/cafe with selling bikes, soap and brushes. Where else? A warm fire, a lazing dog and some delicious food made lunch memorable. The Mediterranean vegetable stack was delicious and garlicky. Good coffee and cider too. Will come again and tell others.”

”We visited on my birthday (along with our dog). What a great welcome, an excellent choice of local beers and ciders, a quirky decor (think drinks served in coffee mugs), roaring fire and great conversation. If you’ve not been, don’t miss, if you have, you’re probably planning your return. Wonderful.”
